Boo! I have a fun Halloween card to share today. Honestly, this card can be for many occasions, you just need to use a different critter or focal point. I loved making my background. I used the new Slanted Angles stencil from A Colorful Life Designs with 2 Lindy’s Magicals.

Just like I did in THIS video, I sprayed my stencil with Pixie Spray from Therm O Web first, then temporarily adhered it to some Smooth Bristol Cardstock from Strathmore. Then, I sprinkled on Tibetan Poppy Teal and Witch’s Potion Purple Magicals with a fan brush. Don’t overdo the powder. A little goes a long way. Then I spritzed the panel with water and used a round brush to move the color around and fill in any colorless areas. I set the panel aside to dry while keeping the stencil attached. Do you see all of the fabulous shine? It’s even more obvious in person. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to put on top of the panel, so I went through my binder to see if I had any colored images that would work. I found this cute ghost that I colored with Copics. He’s from Sassy and Crafty, who is unfortunately no longer in business. I thought it went really well with the colors of the background. My sentiment is from Ellen Hutson’s Hocus Pocus (also no longer in business), which I inked with the dark teal ink from Imagine’s Caribbean Sea Kaleidacolor Ink Pad. I sprinkled some of the Teal Magicals onto my glass mat, mixed it with some water, and painted the border of my card base. I also splattered some on to my background before I adhered the ghost and the sentiment.

Having pre-colored images can be such a time saver. The same goes for having prepped backgrounds and sentiments. You can’t always predict what you’ll need or use, but sometimes it makes things go a lot quicker when pre-made elements can get combined.
