Greetings! Have you been enjoying the ocean-themed stencils from the June A Colorful Life Designs release? Today’s card uses the Fancy Seahorses stencil, which I used on top of an old Gel Press print. The monoprint has some cool things happening on it, so I didn’t want to use a stencil that was very bust, so these Fancy Seahorses were perfect.

The print was made with fluid acrylics and some stamps. The patterns are subtle, but that totally works for water. I wanted the seahorses to have some shine, so I mixed some pearlescent embossing paste (the brand I used is no longer available, but there are several others on the market)with Sap Green Golden Fluid Acrylics. It came out so pretty!

I have this ridiculously old set of pre-printed sentiments from K & Company that I like to pull out from time to time. I found the “seize the day” and thought it was a good fit. Since the background color was a warm yellow, I inked the edges of my card base with Scattered Straw Distress Ink to tie it in with the sentiment. Then, for additional shine, I used the Crystal Metallic Royal Blue Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs.

I love the shine and texture of this card. I think the Gel Press print has some really nice depth to it too.
