Hello! Today I am using the new I Ruff You stencil from A Colorful Lie Designs on a Gel Press print I had made. You can see how I made a similar print (done in the same session) in THIS YouTube Short.

Since I loved this print, I knew that when I eventually used it, I didn’t want to cover too much of it. The I Ruff You stencil was perfect for this. I applied VersaMark Ink through the stencil with a dedicated finger dauber and then heat embossed it with white.
There isn’t really a whole lot to explain here, since the print was already made. If you don’t do monoprinting, you could easily just use patterned paper or create your own patterned background with stencils or stamps. I left my card base white, for once. The monoprint had enough grunge and I wanted to highlight all the white on it and the stenciled design.
I love how shiny the gold it. It really catches the light nicely. And even though the background is kind of busy, the white silhouette of the dog stands out. That’s because he was stenciled on a darker part of the monoprint. Please be sure to visit A Colorful Life Designs to see the many, many stencils they have to offer. You can use my code, AlFan10 to save 10% off of your regular-priced purchase. Then, show off your creations in the A Colorful Life Designs Fan Group on FB. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
