So here’s the outside of my card. It’s cute. I used one of the cats from Sassy & Crafty’s What’s Up, Buttercup? stamp set and the Kitty Glitter stencil with Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn, Wild Honey, and Festive Berries. I colored the kitty and the border of my card base with Copics. That cute little daisy die cut is from Karen Burniston’s Backyard Charms die set. It’s an adorable set with many “charms” in it. So like I said, it’s a very cute card front and I know plenty of people that would love this card just as it is. But! Karen Burniston is known for very cool interactive die sets, so of course I had to do something with one of those…
Isn’t that so fun?! Ya think it’s a “normal card” and then BAM! Lots of kitties on the inside! I used the Karen Burniston Photo Collage Pop-Up die to create this. Now, if you follow me, you’ll probably already know that outside of shaker cards, I don’t do a whole lot of interactive cards. They can be intimidating to me. But, I watched Karen’s YouTube video on how to put this card together and it was really pretty simple!
For all of these cat “photos” I used the “What’s Up Buttercup” stamp set and the “Love Your Look” stamp set. They were all colored with Copics. I also took the same Kitty Glitter stencil that I used on the outside of the card, but this time, I sprayed it with Dylusions Sprays in Lemon Zest, Blue Lagoon, and Cherry Pie. Blue Lagoon really mixed with Lemon Zest to get that fabulous shade of green. After I sprayed the stencil generously, I placed my cardstock on top of the stencil and pressed it down evenly to get the spray to transfer to the cardstock. I colored the border of the card base with Copics again just to pull in more blue.
This card has so much impact when you open it! And this is a regular A2 sized card, so nothing fancy here. You don’t need to use as many of the “photo” areas on your cards either, but I wanted to fill my card with cats! Below is the full hop list, so please be sure to visit everyone along the way for your chance to win prizes. Thank you so much to Karen Burniston for having this fun collaboration with Sassy & Crafty! And thanks to you for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
