Hello! I’ve got a funny Christmas card to share that I am sure many of us can relate to. I think the Merry Mayhem Collection from Spellbinders is hilarious, and it’s totally up my alley. So, using it with other die sets in my stash make for some pretty terrific cards. Today, I’m using the Snow Done Stamp & Die Set with Yana’s Christmas Cats Accessories.

I built my sleepy penguin and his iceberg from the Snow Done Set. The size of the iceberg was perfect for adding the tree from Yana’s Christmas Cats Accessories. I also used the lights from that set, which are meant to be used on one of the cats, but it’s also great for hanging on the tree to get an unfinished, exhausted look. I also gave the penguin one of the hats in the Accessories set too.

I cut a piece of cardstock in a different shade of blue from what I used on the iceberg to create the water. Then I ink blended Tumbled Glass Distress Ink on the top third of the card base for my sky. I also added my sentiment, which is from the Joy-ish Sentiments Set, which is part of the Merry Mayhem Collection. I also tucked the star that’s meant to be the tree topper into the wing of the penguin as an added touch of humor.

Overall, this card doesn’t take too long to make, but I’m not gonna lie, adding all of those eensy weensy lights to the tree takes some time and patience. But I am so happy with how it turned out!
