Hello! I have a clean and simple Christmas card today that uses the Mid Century Christmas Tree stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I love combining stencils with patterned paper, and it worked out really well here.

I found a tone on tone snowflake patterned paper in my stash that looked great with this tree. I inked up the tree using Faded Jeans and Walnut Stain Distress Oxides. I applied Star Dust Stickles to the stars for some shine.

I cut the panel into a wide strip and applied it to my white card base. I added a thin strip of holographic cardstock for the transition between the card base and the snowflake paper. Then I stamped my sentiment, which is from Simon Hurley and Spellbinders’ Joyful Christmas Sentiments Press + Foil and Cut with Twilight VersaFine Clair Ink. Last, I added a few Moonshine Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs.

This is a great way to use up patterned paper and have a bold design as well. For a simple card, it has a lot of shine!
