Hello! I have a Mid Century style card today that uses a couple of fun stencils from A Colorful Life Designs. The focal stencil is a new one, called Mid Century Chairs, and there are actually two chairs on this one stencil, but I only used one of them today. The other is called Mid Century Rectangles and Saucers, and I used it in a more subtle way.

I started by inking the chair with Orange Peel and Gingerbread Inks from Catherine Pooler on a peach colored cardstock and then I cut it out. I wanted a muted blue for the background, and Sea Salt cardstock from Scrapbook.com was absolutely perfect. I laid the Mid Century Rectangles and Saucers on top of it and spritzed it with Speckled Egg Distress Spray Stain.

I needed something else on the card, so I cut a wide strip of patterned paper from Catherine Pooler’s Right at Home Patterned Paper. The design and color went perfectly with the rest of the card. Then, I stamped my sentiment with Twilight VersaFine Clair Ink. It’s from the Couch Potato Stamp Set from My Favorite Things.

I really like this color combo and mix of patterns. Please visit A Colorful Life Designs to see all of the amazing stencils and Card Bling that this woman-owned business offers.
