Greetings! There’s something about a truck for holiday cards that I really like. They automatically give off a rustic vibe, and then when you add a tree, it makes me think of a cozy Christmas. Today I am using the Holiday Truck Scene Die Set from Simon Hurley and Spellbinders. This is part of Simon’s Snow Globe Scenes Collection, but I opted to not use the snow globe today.

I decided to make a red truck, but I wanted it to shine, so I used red foiled cardstock, as well as silver for the hub caps. I also used a piece of acetate for the windows to make it look like glass. There’s no die for that, so I just fir the acetate behind the truck and cut it to fit. I decorated the truck with a red bow, and of course added the tree to the bed.

I really wanted to use patterned paper for the rest of the card, and the new Ripple Rectangle Die Set from this same collection was perfect for cutting everything down. This is a really useful die set that I’ll be using all year round. I found some fun papers from Miss Kate and I believe Echo Park. I love combining patterned papers, particularly when they are from different collections and manufacturers. To finish off my card, I used sentiment from Spellbinders’ Holiday Banner Greetings Press + Foil and Die Set. I used 1mm Foam Tape to pop it and the truck off of the card.

I think this is one of my favorite Christmas cards I’ve made all year. I love the playfulness and the shine. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases and this month’s new releases. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
