Hello! My card today uses the Webby Leaf from A Colorful Life Designs. This is such a fabulous mask. I decided to use it with my granulating watercolors that my son gave me last year for Christmas. You can use so many different techniques, but I’ve been in the mood to play with watercolors.

I sprayed the back of the Webby Leaf with Pixie Spray from Therm O Web to make sure it stuck well to my watercolor paper. I wanted to try to prevent as much color from seeing underneath as possible. Then, I wet the paper and used Aurora Orange No. 773 from Kuretake’s Gansai Tambi Granulating Watercolors Set. You can see lots of different colors on my card, but that’s all just the Aurora Orange! It’s kind of like what Lindy’s Magicals and Nuvo Shimmer Powders do, but just in a watercolor palette. You’ll see another card that uses these watercolors later in the month.
Once my panel was dry and trimmed down, I inked the edges with Hot Tub Ink from Catherine Pooler and I added a sentiment from Hero Arts’ Autumn Greeting Stamp Set. I also added a few Luminous Creamy Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs. I inked the white card base with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.
It looks like I spent a lot of time watercoloring this background, but the magic really is all in the paint.
