Sweet as Pumpkin Pie: A House Mouse Card

Greetings! I love pie. One of my favorite kinds of pie is definitely pumpkin. It seems that I’m not alone in that, as I spied a couple of the House Mouse gang from Spellbinders digging into a rather yummy looking piece. I used a new stamp set, called Sweet as Pumpkin Pie today, along with some other Spellbinders products.

I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, and then I colored it with the following Copic Markers:
Skin: E00, E31, E33, R20
Fur: T2, T4, T6, E25, E29, E43
Pie: YR04, E31, E33, E35, E37
Spoons: C3, C7
Shadow: W0, W3, W5
I die cut the colored piece with one of the Playful Stitched Panels, then I inked the edges with Hot Tub Ink from Catherine Pooler.

I die cut a caramel colored cardstock out of a larger Playful Stitched Panel, as well as the tag from that die set. The tag I cut out of white cardstock, but I inked it with Gingerbread Ink. I added my sentiment with more Tuxedo Black Ink. I found a fun diagonal striped paper in my stash that had great colors on it, and I used it for my background. Then to add some more interest, I die cut some foliage from the Leaf & Blooms Die Set. I added some fun yarn to the tag and adhered some Satin Matte Copper Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs.

I like that this card has a lot of “stuff” on it. Sometimes I keep my House Mouse cards kind of simple, because of all the detail in the stamped image, but here, I really liked having a lot to look at, plus layers and texture.
