Hello! The Block Print Zodiacs Collection from Spellbinders is right up alley. I love the style of the artwork, the subject, and the ease of use since these are all BetterPress Plates. Today we’re taking a look at my Block Print Leo card, which happens to be the zodiac sign for one of my sisters.

I used a piece of yellow cardstock and to make my impression, I chose Acorn VersaFine Clair Ink. It’s a warm reddish-brown that works really well for Leo. I die cut my panel with one of the dies in the Bow & Bell Scallop Frame Die Set from Spellbinders. I use this die set often because of it’s versatility. Then I inked the edges of the panel with Tutti Frutti Ink from Catherine Pooler, to give it a fiery look. I wanted some shine, so I added gold splatter using my Starry Colors watercolors from Kuretake.

For more shine, I added a layer of gold foiled cardstock, which I cut with a larger rectangle die from the Bow & Bell Scallop Frame Die Set. I mounted these layers onto an old plaid paper from DCWV which has a bit of embossed clear sparkle on it.

I adore the style of this collection. I have several other cards to share with you from it, and I hope you’ll come back to check them out. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases. They are all so unique this month, and perhaps a little unexpected. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
