Hello! I used Spellbinders‘ Regal Reflections Collection to make a very elegant and over-the-top card that’s full of drama today. At first, I wasn’t sure how much I would enjoy working with this collection, but let me tell you, it’s so much fun to step out of my comfort zone and make cards with the dies and embossing folder in this collection.

I started by die cutting the Regal Pair Die Set using white, brick red, black, and metallic gold cardstock. They really are quite fancy especially perched atop of their cushy pillows. To ground them, I used the same gold cardstock to die cut one of the frames in the Arch, Punch, and Pierce Die Set.

For more drama, I used a pearlized black cardstock with one side of the 3D Embossing Folder in the collection, called Regal Lattice. There are two completely different designs on this folder, which is so unique. Look at the detail and dimension on that background! I went with a full 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ panel for this because I didn’t want to break things up with a white border. I used a sentiment from the Paws in the City BetterPress Plate Set of the Month from November 2025, which I inked with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink.

The Regal Pair reminds me of a dog statue my mom had since I was a baby. Her statue is very different from these, but it has that same regal look to it.
