Greetings! The Wonder of Oz Collection has just landed at Spellbinders and I am so excited about it! Growing up, we would watch The Wizard of Oz every Thanksgiving because it’s my mom’s favorite movie, so I got pretty nostalgic when I saw this collection. Today, my card features the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion.

There are a number of BetterPress sets in this collection, and these two friends are from the Tin Man, Scarecrow and Lion BetterPress Plate & Die Set. I inked them with Nocturne VersaFine Clair and used Strathmore Smooth Bristol Cardstock for my paper. Then I colored them mostly with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. The Tin Man was colored with Scrapbook.com’s Silver Shimmer Glitter Brush Marker. It’s hard to see in photos, but he has a great shimmer all over him.

I used the Crackle Paint 3D Embossing Folder from Spellbinders for my background. I started with a piece of Kraft Cardstock, and I inked the folder’s front side with Icing on the Cake Ink from Catherine Pooler. After running it through my die cut machine, I inked it with Antique Linen Distress Oxide. For the ground, I freehand cut a piece of yellow cardstock from Spellbinders, then inked it with the Winding Paths Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs and Tiara Ink from Catherine Pooler. I inked my sentiment, which is from the Wonder of Oz Sentiments BetterPress & Die Set, with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

I love the interaction between these two on this card. I was really happy that I could curl the lion’s tail around the Tin Man’s arm. I have lots more to share from this collection, so I hope you’ll check in to see it all. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
