Hello! Today I have another card that uses part of the Wonders of Oz Collection from Spellbinders, and this one focuses on Glinda. I also used a really unique 3D embossing folder that’s also from Spellbinders.

I started by taking Glinda from the Dorothy and the Witches BetterPress & Die Set, and used VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne with Strathmore Smooth Bristol Cardstock. You don’t get a deep impression with the Bristol like you do with cotton cardstock, but I knew I wanted to color her with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, and that Bristol is perfect for it. I used a Sakura Star Dust Pen to add some shimmer to her wand and crown. I also chose my sentiment, from the Wonder of Oz Sentiments BetterPress & Die Set.

For my background, I decided to use the Distress Mix 3D Embossing Folder on a pink Spellbinders cardstock. I inked the folder with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide, on the top side of the folder. This pushes the ink into the cardstock on the lower areas, once you’ve run it through a die cut machine. But I needed lots of sparkle, so after embossing, I spritzed the panel thoroughly with Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Sparkle. You can really see it in the photo above. I added some Luminous Whisper Pink Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs, and I popped the sentiment and Glinda up with foam tape from Scrapbook.com. I also used Scrapbook.com’s Clear Glitter Pen on my card base.

I really love this embossing folder with Glinda. I think it worked really well. And you don’t have to give this card to a Wizard of Oz fan, it can just be for anyone that needs some encouragement. Please visit Spellbinders to see the rest of the Wonders of Oz Collection. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
