Hello! Today’s card features the Bauhaus Circle Mask from A Colorful Life Designs, along with a Gel Press print on sheet music. I love using sheet music as a base for my monoprints, because the paper starts off looking cool, and it’s fun to add layers to elevate the look even further.

I used Caribbean Sea Kaleidacolor Ink on my Gel Press Plate first, and that gave the sheet music beautiful colors quickly. Then, I had used the Messy Harlequin Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs with Danube Blue Fireworks! Spray. I had spritzed the stencil then applied it to the monoprint.

Next, I inked the Bauhaus Circle Mask on the monoprint with Suede Shoes Ink from Catherine Pooler. I went heavy in some spots and lighter in others. Then, I die cut a sentiment from the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bold Text Die Set. I mounted the monoprint onto my card base, and kept the base white.

Just a few layers on the sheet music and a clean sentiment makes for a very cool card. I love to stencil over Gel Press prints that need a little more love, because you can really create some great layers and effects.
