Hello! You may have seen the first card I made with the Hero Studio Card Kit of the Month from Hero Arts. If not, you can check it out HERE. My card today has a very different look, but it’s using the same kit, plus the Hero Studio Cling Stamp of the Month. This stamp is going to become antoher staple for me and many other crafters, I’m sure. It’s a great design that will work for a wide variety of card themes and styles.

I die cut my parts using many of the colors that come in the kit. I added a few others, like the white and the Caucasian skin color. Next I added some ink blending to the pieces. I used Morning Frost from Altenew on the white sneakers and lid of the cup. I used Desert Sand Memento Ink for the skin. There’s Bellini Ink on the cup holder, Cummerbund on the capris, All That Jazz on the cuffs, and Lime Rickey on the laces. Those are all from Catherine Pooler. I colored her nail with a Copic.

Saltwater Taffy Distress Ink was used for the cling stamp, purposely because Distress Ink isn’t the best for stamping. I didn’t want it to be perfect and solid, and I knew the Distress Ink would give me the look I was going for. I adhered the legs flat on the stamped background, but I popped up the arm and coffee with foam tape. I also inked my card base with Cummerbund Ink, and used Bellini for the sentiment.

The Spellbinders cardstock that comes in this month’s kit was definitely the reason I chose this color palette. They’re so perfect for summer. This is such a unique kit, and I am really enjoying it. I have a lot of other ideas for it, and I hope I get to make them soon. Please be sure to check out all of the Hero Studio Kits from Hero Arts. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
