Greetings! Today I have a simple, modern, yet elegant card to share using some products from Spellbinders. I was really inspired by the new Embossing folders by Dina Wakley, and today I use the Lined Corners 3D Embossing Folder. This is a perfect sympathy card, but it can also be used for encouragement of any kind.

I cut a piece of Accent Opaque 100lb. White Cardstock to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and instead of spritzing it with water, I used Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Sparkle. Then I chose the area of the folder that I wanted to emboss. Spellbinders’ Embossing Folders are large, so you can choose different looks on your projects. The Sheer Shimmer Spritz is so pretty and is subtle, so later I added some splatters to help it stand out more.

I really wanted to keep things simple for this card, so I used one of my go-to die sets from Spellbinders & Simon Hurley, called Everyday Foliage. I use this set a lot. I die cut it twice out of gray cardstock and glued them together. Then, I applied Scintillating Silver Lindy’s Magical to the die cut with water. I could have used the Sheer Shimmer Spritz, but I really wanted the die cut to look silver, and not just sparkly. I chose a sentiment from Simon Hurley and Spellbinders’ Soaring Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set and I inked it wish Morning Mist VersaFine Clair Ink. I popped the panel up with foam tape and attached it to a white card base.

I think this came out so pretty. I can envision making this with different metallics and spritzes. I really want to try it with copper or rose gold. Please visit Spellbinders to see all of the latest releases. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
