Hello! Today’s card is very simple to recreate, and the layout itself can be used to work with whatever BetterPress background plates, sentiments, and single elements you may already have in your stash. I’m using the Spellbinders June ’25 BetterPress of the Month and the free gift when you get the Deluxe Caboodle Kit, which is a sailboat die set this month.

I applied the BetterPress to a piece of cotton cardstock using Twilight VersaFine Clair Ink. I love using the Clairs with the BetterPress. They always come out so crisp. I also used on of the accompanying sentiments.

I die cut the sailboat using white, navy blue, and coral cardstock. I only added a bit of shading to the white areas, with 2 cool gray Copics. I die cut the sailboat base out of navy blue as well, so I can create a shadow layer and help it visually pop off the busy background more. I also added a mat around my sentiment to help it become more of a focal piece.

Simple, right? And the layout is great. If you don’t have a full BetterPress plate like this one, you can always use patterned paper or a stencil. Then, add a long sentiment and sit your element on top of it. I love the nautical theme the kits have this month. I’m not much into water, but I do love beachy, water vibes for cardmaking. Please be sure to visit Spellbinders to get all the info on the monthly Club Kits. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
