Hello! The Club Kits from Spellbinders for the month of May are perfect for teachers, students, graduates, young kids, and more. My card today is for a graduate of any age, and I used the Embossing Folder of the Month, as well as the Small Die of the Month.

I started by die cutting the pieces I needed from the Small Die of the Month. This apple is so cute, and I love the graduation cap. I’m going to need a lot of graduation cards this year, so I was excited to use that cap. I didn’t color any of the elements…I only used colored cardstock.

I really love the Embossing Folder of the Month. It’s irregular and cool and can absolutely be used for a ton of themes. I used some light blue cardstock and after I embossed it, I inked the edges with Nautical Blue Memento Ink. I wanted even more color, so I inked the edges of my white card base with Teal Zeal Memento Ink.

This card really didn’t take too long to put together, and I think it’s adorable. Inking the edges of the embossed background really helps the design to stand out.
