Hello! The Crafty Babe Collection from Spellbinders & Simple Stories is perfect for all of us paper-loving folks. There are wonderful dies that are so much fun to put together. Today, I used the Labels & Icons Die Set to create a paper quilt.

I chose some vibrant cardstock and decided which dies to use for each color. After I cut out multiples of each, I started to arrange my quilt on peach colored cardstock. After I glues all of the pieces, I applied a Clear Glitter Pen from Scrapbook.com to some of the peach areas for some unexpected sparkle.

Since these are all 1″ squares, and I made an A2 sized card, the border around my “quilt” wasn’t even. So I cut a thin strip of patterned paper from the Spellbinders & Kelly Bangs Just Sayin’ 6×6 Paper Pad. The colors were just right and filled in that gap nicely. I kept the card sentiment free, though I may add one later when I decide who the recipient is.

I think this is a fun card with these bright, almost neon colors. But I think it could be lovely with more muted colors too. I may give it a try. What colors would you use if you made this card?
