Hello! I have a card using some of the gorgeous Spring in Kyoto Collection from Alex Syberia and Spellbinders. I absolutely love this collection. I went for a mauve and grey color palette for todays card, and I used several of the products from this line up.

I started with the Spring in Kyoto BetterPress & Stencil Bundle to make my parasol background. I used Chianti VersaFine Clair Ink to letterpress the image, and then I used the stencil with Tattered Rose, Saltwater Taffy, Milled Lavender, and Seedless Preserves Distress Inks. My Milled Lavender started off a little gray looking from the residual ink on my blending brush, but I like the look and I leaned into it later.
I used the Cherry Blossoms Better Press & Die Set next, stamping the flowers also with Chianti and then I colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I used 203, 204, 205, 401, and 404. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Next I die cut my Kokeshi Doll from the Kokeshi Doll Die Set (it’s so fun to customize them!) using shades of pink and maroon. I kept her kimono simple because the background has so much going on. I die cut one of the sentiments from the Kokeshi Dolls BetterPress & Die Set and added that as well. Last, I inked my white card base with Evening Gray ink from Altenew.

This collection is just so pretty. I really enjoyed using these shades of mauve, pink, and gray. I’ve got some more projects made with this collection that I still have to share, so I hope you’ll come back to see them. Please be sure to visit Spellbinders to see the entire Spring in Kyoto Collection. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
