Hello! Today I’m sharing the card I made for my mom for Mother’s Day. She loves the Spring in Kyoto collection from Alex Syberia and Spellbinders like I do, so I decided to use the Kokeshi Doll BetterPress Plates & Die Set. The Kokeshi Doll I used here actually reminds me of her. The hair (when she was younger), the glasses… she just reminds me of my mom.

I colored the Kokeshi Doll with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I think this is such a pretty color combo. I chose some papers in my stash to coordinate and have subtle patterns. The green is from Kaisercraft and the purple is from Basic Gray (it’s really old!). The sparkly strip is from Recollections.

I used the “Love You” sentiment from the Blossoms and Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die Set from this same collection. I inked it with Limoncello Ink from Catherine Pooler. I inked my card base with Tiara Ink, which is also from Catherine Pooler. For shine, I used some Crystal Opaque Red Hot Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs.

My mom loved the card, which made me very happy. She thought the Kokeshi Doll was so sweet, and my sister also thought it looked like our mom. I’m having so much fun with this collection, and I can’t wait to show you more with it. Please visit Spellbinders to see the entire Spring in Kyoto Collection. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
