Hello! It’s the 10th of the month, so that means the new releases from Spellbinders are officially available for the general public to purchase (club members get early access). My favorite release this month is absolutely the Beads of Friendship Collection. It speaks to my jewelry-making heart and I am truly having a freaking blast playing with it. My card today has a BTS (the K-Pop group) theme to it, but it can easily be switched up to suit your needs.

I die cut one of the hands from the Bestie Heart in Hand Die Set from a light Caucasian skin tone, and then I shaded it with Antique Linen Distress Ink. The heart that comes in the set was die cut from a lavender cardstock and then inked with Shaded Lilac and Villainous Potion Distress Inks. There’s a lot of purple on this card because purple is official color for BTS and their fandom, called ARMY.
The bracelets were made with the Bestie Beaded Bracelets Die Set and the Bestie Alphabet Beads and Sentiments. I used 2 shades of purple and holographic cardstock for the plain beads. The alphabet beads are on white cardstock with black ink, just like the super-popular real alphabet beads. I highly recommend cutting a ton of beads all at once, so that when you’re ready to create, you’ll have lots to play with right away.
I added some purple polka-dot paper to my background, and used a sentiment from the Bestie Alphabet Beads and Sentiments. It was stamped with Monarch VersaFine Clair Ink, and it coincidentally is a very famous line from BTS. I left my card base white to coordinate with the alphabet beads and the sentiment.
I cannot express how much fun I’m having with the Beads of Friendship Collection. It reminds me of when I used to make bracelets like these all the time. You can easily customize the bracelets, skin color, and style to work for anything. I’ll be sharing another BTS-themed card in my YouTube video tomorrow. But even if you don’t love BTS like I do, please check out the video. I will show the entire Beads of Friendship Collection, plus I’ll be sharing some tips on how to use it. Don’t forget to visit Spellbinders to see all of the new releases. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
