Hello! Today I’m using an older stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, called Ombre Stars. This is a small 3×6 stencil, but the pattern can be easily repeated infinitely, so don’t think that because it’s tiny you can only use it on small pieces.

The background was made on my gel press, using several colors of ink that were brayered together to create a beautiful rainbow. I made this print a while ago, and I believe it was done with Distress Inks, but I’m not positive. You can use patterned paper or even plain cardstock for this if you’d like. I laid the stencil on the background and then applied silver embossing paste through it. Again, this is a smaller stencil, so I couldn’t fill the whole panel at once. So I let the first section dry, then I applied the paste through the rest, so that I didn’t accidentally smudge anything.
I didn’t want to do much more to the card because it was already so pretty. I used Honey Bee Stamps’ Big Time Kindness stamp set and coordinating dies with Morning Mist VersaFine Clair Ink and applied it to my panel. I trimmed down the panel to be smaller than my typical 4 x 5 1/4, so that more of my card base would show, which I left white.
I adore those bold colors with the shiny silver and bright white. I think it’s fun and exciting. Please head over to the A Colorful Life Designs website to see the thousands of available stencils.
