Hello! I have a bold card to share today that uses neon colors and the Changing Triangles stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I love using neons with deep, rich blacks because of the high contrast. Add to that a graphic design, such as this stencil, and you get a funky and bold card.

I had a panel that I dragged some of the Radiant Neon Inks from Imagine across. I absolutely love these colors. These are pigment inks, so make sure your panel is completely dry before moving on. I made this months ago, so I was all set to continue. I taped my stencil on top of the panel and applied VersaMark Ink through it with a sponge dauber. After I removed the stencil, I applied black embossing powder on top and tapped off the excess. After heat setting, it’s nice and shiny.
I needed a bold greeting that wouldn’t get lost on this background. I really like this Best Wishes die from The Stamps of Life. The circle looked great with all of the lines from the stencil. The problem was that the letters were getting a little lost. So I decided to back it with vellum which chilled out the background without hiding it. I also added a few of the Black with White Dots Card Bling, which added to the playfulness of the card.
I say it all the time, having a stockpile of backgrounds, sentiments, and even colored images can make for quick work on projects. Even if you have no idea how you’ll use something, hang onto it, and you’ll use it eventually. I knew I wanted a bold background for this stencil, and when I found this neon one, I knew it was the perfect option.
