Hello! I am thrilled to show you my first card using Nichol’s Needlework collection by Nichol Sphor and Spellbinders. I do all kinds of crafts, but needlework isn’t one of them. I love it, but my hands wouldn’t cooperate with that kinds of project, so when I saw these dies, that were faux needlework, I was thrilled. And they are just SEW cute!!!

On my desk, I have the Kvissle Letter Tray from IKEA. In one of the tiers, I have scraps of colored cardstock from My Colors. You can see a wide range of their offerings over at Scrapbook.com. Most of the papers I used here are from that brand. It was fun choosing colors for this rainbow. I didn’t want to go with regular rainbow colors, so going through what I had was fun. I die cut the rainbow once for each color I used, so I have plenty of rainbows to use at a later date. One good thing about using colors different from a real rainbow is that the order doesn’t matter.
I honestly think my favorite thing in this entire collection are the scissors. Most people that sew or do embroidery have either owned, or at least seen those bird scissors. And with the embossed designs on the die, they look like the real thing! The scissors come in a set with the thread, spool, and needle. It’s just adorable! After assembling all of my pieces, I inked the edges of my pink background ever so lightly, and added my sentiment, which is from Lawn Fawn’s Sewn with Love stamp set.
I had sew much fun making this card, and I made another one right away that I’ll share with you soon. I like that these sets are really easy to work with and I can get the look of needlework without actually doing it. Please visit Spellbinders to see the rest of Nichol’s Needlework collection. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
