Hello! Today’s card is one I made for someone graduating high school. Their favorite color is pink, and I thought they would really love a shaker card. The Tunnel Clouds from the Tunnel Scapes collection by Vicky Papaiouannou and Spellbinders was perfect for them.

I really love using patterned paper for the Tunnel Clouds. It’s unexpected, fun, and helps me to use some of the massive amount of patterned paper that I have. I really enjoy mixing patterns too…I prefer to not use patterns all from the same paper pad. If you’d like to learn a bit more about mixing patterned papers, I have a YouTube Playlist HERE that you can check out. For this card, all 3 cloud layers used different papers from Lawn Fawn. The base layer and the kite is from K & Company. I opted to go darker with each layer, to help make the tunnel look even deeper.
This is a double shaker card, so there are two different levels of sequins. You don’t need to do this, but I think it adds to the interest of the card. I used a variety of sequins and fillers, so there’s lots of things to look at. I also used 3mm Foam Tape from Scrapbook.com, so there’s lots of height in between layers. My sentiment is from Spellbinders’ Sending Sunshine stamp set.
I am happy to report that they loved the card. I gave it to them yesterday and they kept shaking it! I made a similar version for their sibling, who graduated from Middle School this year. I’ll be sharing that card soon. Please visit Spellbinders to see the rest of the Tunnel Scapes collection, and don’t miss anything I’m posting here on my blog! Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
