Hey there! I know Valentine’s Day has passed, and you might already know that it’s not a holiday I care for (except for the chocolate!), but of course I did make my husband a card. I used one of the stencils from the Blowing Wishes stencil set from A Colorful Life Designs. This is such a fun stencil set, I hope you check it out.

I found a roll-off print from one of my gel printing sessions and used that for my background. I applied VersaMark Ink though the stencil with a sponge dauber, then applied some shiny pink embossing powder. I used Lawn Fawn’s Wild Wolves stamp set for my focal image. You can grab it HERE or HERE. I colored the images with Copics and fussy cut them out.
I stamped the sentiment on gray cardstock with Charming Pink VersaFine Clair Ink. On my card base, I inked the edges first with Lost Shadow Distress Oxide, then with a bit of Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide. I forgot to take a photo, but I stenciled the inside a bit with the hearts and added “A howl lot” the same way I made the strip for the front. I really don’t decorate the inside of cards very often because I forget, but I wasn’t liking the two sentiments on the front, so this was the perfect opportunity to add an additional surprise for my husband when he opened the card.
I love using roll-off prints whenever I can. They make such fantastic backgrounds, and they always looks so interesting with their layers of color.
