Hello! I love when A Colorful Life Designs comes out with mid century styled stencils. I think I have most of them, because they’re always so cool. Today I used the new Mid Century Rainbows, which is a really fun design.

I took a roll-off print that was created with my brayer and acrylic paint during a gel printing session and trimmed it down. I really like the different colors that are poking through. On top of that, I laid my stencil and used a glittery plum colored stencil paste all over it. I probably should have gone with a brighter color, but it still looks good.
You can see in the photo above the nice dimension you get from the paste. I wanted more shine, so I grabbed some holographic cardstock and cut two strips for either side of my panel. In addition, I actually cut the word shine from Echo Park’s Rainbow Shine die. I decided to shift the panel offset to the left, an leave the card base white. You’re shocked, I know. Truthfully, I still feel like I want to add a little strip of something to the right side, but I’m not sure what or if I should.
What do you think? Would you add something to the right edge, or would you leave it alone? Overall, I like how this came out. If I were to do it again, I would use a brighter embossing paste and perhaps narrow the holographic strips, so that I could add some embossing powder to that right edge. But again, I do like the finished card. Please be sure to visit A Colorful Life Designs to see the many, many stencils they have to offer.
