Hello! I have a fun mixed media card to share today that uses the Fancy Doily stencil from A Colorful Life Designs as a focal image. This card started off with a Gel Press print that was made with alcohol ink, and it was totally transformed once I added the stencil to it.

The monoprint was made with various shades of pink and purple alcohol inks. I thought teal would really pop against it so I sprayed the Fancy Doily stencil with Dylusions Spray in Vibrant Turquoise on a separate piece of paper. Then I flipped the stencil on to the monoprint and pressed it down. The color didn’t transfer as well as I wanted it to, so I grabbed a Copic (BG49) and traced over the design.
I flicked on Rose Bud Fireworks! Spray to create some splatters. Then, around the edges I inked VersaFine Clair Ink in Glamourous with a cosmetic sponge. To create shine, I sprinkled on Lost Shadow Distress Embossing Glaze and heat set it. I also added some of the new Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs near my sentiment, which is from PinkFresh Studio’s Perfect Sentiments Stamp and Die. The edges of the card base was inked with Salvaged Patina Distress Ink.
I love the layers of ink on this card. There’s a cool depth to it, even though it’s a very flat card.
