Hello! I have a simple, shimmery card to share with you today that uses the new Flake Meltdown stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. It’s pretty and graphic, and I can see myself using it a lot, especially with this fun card layout.

I started off with a piece of light blue cardstock, and laid the stencil on top. I sprayed it first with Dylusions Spray in Vibrant Turquoise, then with Fireworks! Spray in Summer Sky so that it would have some shimmer. As I let that dry, I embossed a piece of white cardstock with Altenew’s Angled Mosaic embossing folder.
You can see in the photo above just how shimmery that center panel is. I decided to flank it with some holographic cardstock strips. I also used that cardstock for the shadow layer of my sentiment, topped with a deep teal. That die set is an old one from Stampendous. The open space from the stencil is the perfect spot for a sentiment.
I really like this card design. It’s an easy one to switch out with different stencils, Gel Press prints, or even patterned paper. Please be sure to visit A Colorful Life Designs to see the many, many stencils they have to offer. You can use my code, AlFan10 to save 10% off of your regular-priced purchase.
