Hello! I submitted my second submission to Craft Roulette this week so I wanted to share what I made with all of you. What is Craft Roulette? You can learn all about it HERE. Essentially, it’s a card making challenge that has different parameters each week. You can watch it on YouTube live on Fridays or catch the replays. Each week, there’s a special guest. It’s a lot of fun to create with the parameters, and this week, I knew exactly what I wanted to make.

Here are the parameters:
And this is what I came up with.
There is a new teacher in our district so I wanted to make her a card. It just so happened that the parameters were a perfect fit! I stamped the apples and leaf with plaid paper. They’re an old set from Mama Elephant. I did a little paper piecing on the sliced apple. My “welcome” was cut from the same plaid paper as the leaf, and I used Annie’s Alphabet from Stamp Anniething. I also did a wee bit of ink blending on the apples and leaf. I used Distress Inks in Fired Brick, Lumberjack Plaid, and Rustic Wilderness.
I created my “scene” by using some woodgrain patterned paper that was in the same Echo Park paper pad as the plaids, to create a table. To make my “wall” interesting, I stamped it with Trinity Stamps’ Encouragement Text Background Stamp. This stamp says so many wonderful things on it. For the “wrap” parameter, I wrapped and tied a piece of baker’s twine around the fold of the card. To finish it off, I added a couple of red iridescent rhinestones and some sequins. And hey! I kept my card base white.
This came out really cute. I love the paper piecing and the plaid apples. I hope the new teacher feels a bit more welcome once she gets the card. I’ll have a new project to share soon, including a video using new Spellbinders products on the 10th. I hope you’ll check it out. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
