Greetings! I’ve got a Christmas card to share today that uses the Merry Christmas stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. This is a wonderful stencil to use if you want to make quick holiday cards. It’s even better when you add a critter or two.

On a piece of Strathmore’s Smooth Bristol Cardstock, I inked up the stencil with Rustic Wilderness Distress Ink and Lumberjack Plaid Distress Ink. I did a tiny bit of masking so that I could have the red Merry Christmas right there in the middle. Then I die cut the panel with a Gina Marie Designs Double Stitched In-and-Out die. For shine, I flicked on #903 of Kuretake’s Starry Colors watercolor set. I also colored in one of the stars with the same color.
I colored up a couple of the adorable reindeer from Mama Elephant’s Reindeer Games stamp & die set. They were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. On my card base, I used more Lumberjack Plaid, because I thought the card needed a bit more red.
As I mentioned, you can get a bunch of these made pretty quickly. Especially if you already have a bunch of colored critters. You can omit them, of course, but I love how they add to the card. Please be sure to visit A Colorful Life Designs to see the many, many stencils they have to offer. You can use my code, AlFan10 to save 10% off of your regular-priced purchase.
