Hello! It’s time for a new Kawaii Cuties release! Today, the “What’s Manta Be, Will Be…” stamps and outline dies are available for purchase. This set is so cute, and filled with sea creatures and great sentiments. Next week, we will be releasing 2 other stamp and outline die sets, so be sure to check back to see those. For now, I’ve got 2 cards to share.

First up is this fun manta card. I colored and die cut the2 mantas, plus a bunch of the plant. I used the following Copic markers: E25, G28, G07, G02, T6, T4, and T2. The background of the little scene was done with a Gel Press print that reminded me of water. To add to the look, I sprinkled on some Salvaged Patina Distress Embossing Glaze in squiggly horizontal lines, and heat set the powder from underneath. This gave the background some dimension and shine. I trimmed it with my Deckle Trimmer.
I pulled out one of the water patterned papers from Stamp Anniething’s Beach Day Paper Pad for my biggest layer. The Gel Press scene was getting a little lost, so I tore the edges of some turquoise mulberry paper (wet the paper at the edges first for the best results), and adhered behind my scene. My sentiment was stamped with Medieval Blue VersaFine Clair Ink.
I really like how this card came out. I love the soft mulberry paper with the graphic lines of the patterned paper, and those mantas are just too cute! Now, let’s look at my second card.
These teeny squids crack me up! I did minimal coloring on them with my B00, N2, and N4 Copics. Do you recognize this background? I did it during one of my FB Lives for Stamp Anniething. It was made with Gelatos and the Bubble stencil on sheet music. If you’d like to see the replay, click HERE.
The background had so much happening, I didn’t want to do too much to the rest of the card. The 5 happy squids and the sentiment was plenty. Speaking of the sentiment, I stamped that with Warm Breeze VersaFine Clair Ink.
It might be a little intimidating to work with such teeny stamps on cards. But using great backgrounds, creating tiny scenes, and repeating images makes it easier to create fun cards with these little fellas. There are many more stamps in this new set, so please visit the Stamp Anniething site to see the full set. And don’t forget to visit me next Friday to see two more brand new sets. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
