Hello! It’s the start of a new month, so there is a new release from A Colorful Life Designs! If you missed my unboxing video, you can check it out HERE. Today, I am sharing a card using the new Pointed stencil with some of The Pie Perfection Collection dies from Spellbinders.

Since I had gotten the Serve a Slice Die Set, I knew I wanted to make some blueberry pie. I made it much like the chocolate mousse pie from last month, but I added the plate and fork from the Dish It Up set. For the plate, I used a piece of white cardstock that had some ink smooshing on it, and the fork was made from a textured silver paper.
The Pointed stencil was perfect for a pie card because of the shapes on it. Totally pie-like. I grabbed another scrap that had been ink smooshed and blended with assorted Distress Inks (like, Salvaged Patina, Kitsch Flamingo, and Seedless Preserves), and inked the stencil with Prize Ribbon on top. I found some pretty pink patterned paper in my stash that had some glitter on it, and went really well with the other 2 papers I used. I used that same paper for my sentiment strip, which is a stamp from the Kawaii Cuties collection from Stamp Anniething. More specifically, the Life is What You Bake of It set.
I have been having a lot of fun using dies lately. I prefer dies that aren’t ridiculously small or super intricate. These Spellbinders pie sets and the MFT room dies I’ve been using are just right for me. And it’s so much fun to pair them with fun stencils from A Colorful Life Designs. I’ll be sharing some more of these die-stencil combos this month, so I hope you’ll look out for them. Please be sure to visit A Colorful Life Designs to see the many, many stencils they have to offer. You can use my code, AlFan10 to save 10% off of your regular-priced purchase.
