Greetings! During the FB Live I did for Doodles Paper Playground on November 10th, we made a lantern shaped shaker card using the fabulous Lantern Builder A2 Dies from Honey Bee Stamps. You can check out the full replay HERE.

This was the sample I made before the Live. I used die cuts from the old Build a Wreath Die set from Stampendous. While this set isn’t available anymore, there are many other die sets that has foliage and a bow like this one. I used two pieces of vellum to make the shaker, and I filled it with the Lemonade Sparkle Blend.
Here’s how the card looks when it’s open. I did a slightly different technique to make the card during the FB Live. Check it out to see how I changed it up.
The card I did during the Live, has a stamped image I colored from Stampendous’ Season Shapes stamp set with my Zigs. They both came out pretty, but I prefer the one with just the die cuts.
I love that these shaped cards still fit in a standard A2 sized envelope. And since there’s no foam tape used, it’s not bulky. I can see these being used for Halloween, or just “winter” cards too.
