Hello! Magic holds it’s place in my life all year, so having a card that says ‘hocus pocus” doesn’t mean it should only be for October. I’ve been having a blast playing with Lindy’s Magical Powders with my stamps and stencils, and today’s card uses 2 colors. I thought it was a great time to break out the Iron Cross stencil from A Colorful Life Designs, which is an older stencil, but one I haven’t gotten to use before.

The layer with the Iron Cross stencil was colored with the Witch’s Potion Purple by Lindy’s (use code P6GKPI07KTCTAV to save 10%) and blue ink. I heat embossed an old Sassy and Crafty stamp so that I could paint the crystals with Hag’s Wart Orange. The moon was done with a gold from Kuretake’s Starry Colors collection of watercolors.
I love seeing those flashes of shimmer from the Magical powders. I added the powders directly to my card base. Be forewarned, the colors may bleed through and you will get warping. If I were to make this again, I would have done that background on a separate piece of cardstock. My sentiment is from Ellen Hutson’s Hocus Pocus sentiment stamps and die set.
I wish you could see all the shimmer on this card. It is so pretty. If you like the stencil I used, please visit A Colorful Life Designs to see their vast selection.
