Hello! Did me post title pique your interest? The new stencil release from A Colorful Life Designs is filled with designs for cats, dogs, bees, and there’s even a cow print. One of the stencils, is called Fur, but that’s not what I saw at first.

The Fur stencil is 6×6 and when I saw the design, I saw fire. Lots of fire. I thought it would be fun to use it with one of the many dragon stamps I have, so I embossed a very, very small area with 2 different Glacier Pastes from Tonic. I used Haute Red first, followed by touches of Golden Era. I did this on a background I created on my Gel Press Plate with Cappuccino Delight Kaleidacolor Inks.

I love the texture and shine of the fire! My dragon is from Me and My Dragon by Mama Elephant and I colored it with Zigs. The clouds were created from gray and pink vellum, by using the Abstract Splatter Bands from Stamp Anniething. I stamped the sentiment with Pinecone VersaFine Clair Ink and inked the edges of my card base with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

This little dragon really looks like he’s testing out his fire. It was really fun to use this stencil for something beyond fur, and I think it worked really well.
