Hello! I really love geometric stencils, so I was really excited to see Fairway Ball from A Colorful Life Designs. It’s a big circular stencil with lots of hexagons in it. It reminds me of a disco ball…I’m going to need to do something with it in silver someday.

This card is another example of going through my pre-made backgrounds to create a quick, but cool, project. Some time ago, I had smeared some Fireworks! Spray from Imagine (I believe it was Bahama Blue and Rose Bud) on my glass mat (I was working on another project) and I picked up the excess with this piece of cardstock. It’s super shimmery…I wish you could see it better in my photos. I didn’t want to cover up all of that color and shine, so using the Fairway Ball stencil was a great way to show it off.
Fairway Ball was inked up with Villainous Potion Distress Ink. Distress Ink doesn’t have any opacity to it, so you can see the other colors underneath easily. Because of the hexagon shapes in the stencil, I went with a “hex yeah” sentiment from CZ Designs. I inked the cardstock with Salvaged Patina Distress Ink so it would stand out a bit. I rounded the upper right corner on the panel to mimic the ball.
I love graphic, bold cards and that’s what this is. I can use it for a bunch of occasions, which is also appealing.
