Hello! Last week, during my FB Live for Doodles Paper Playground, I made a citrus-themed shaker using the Lemonade Sparkle Blend and stamps from WPlus9. You can check out the replay HERE. The card came out differently than I had planned (which happens often), but I love the finished shaker.

I used the Summer Citrus stamp set for this card. I had also planned on using the Citrus Background Builders….but it didn’t work out, so I saved that focal piece for another time. I stamped the images using a variety of inks from Imagine, including some VersaFine Clair Inks and some VersaMagic inks.
The Lemonade Sparkle Blend has the perfect, subtle shades of yellow that were needed for this card. I love the little lemon slices in it. To close off my shaker window, I went direct to paper with Saltwater Taffy Distress Ink, and it really pulled out the grapefruit tones of the VersaMagic ink I had used. On my card base, I used the same Key Lime VersaMagic ink that I used for the limes on the card front. My sentiment was made with PinkFresh Studio’s Perfect Sentiments Stamp and Die.
I really love how this turned out. The color palette is pretty different from what I usually use, and I think that’s why I like it. It’s subtle citrus. I really love the mod vibe of the stamps too. It all works perfectly with the Lemonade Sparkle Blend. Be sure to check out all of the awesome sequins mixes from Doodles Paper Playground over at the Sparkle Blends Shop.
