Hello! I have a new Kawaii Cuties project to share with you today. Have you checked out this new line from Stamp Anniething yet? I am having so much fun using all of the stamps, stencils, and dies from this collection. My card today uses the Leaf & Acorn Builder Stencils, and the Let’s Gather stamps and coordinating dies.

I colored the squirrel and the log with my Zig Clear Color Real Brush Pens and I die cut them. I love that the dies are bright pink! For my background, I stenciled the bottom layer using a variety of VersaMagic Inks. I chose those because they have a lovely chalky finish. The images are spread out enough so that it’s easy to switch colors and not worry about needing to mask anything. I lined up the top stencil and added the detail layer after that.
Since the background now has an allover pattern, I didn’t want to just place the squirrel on it. I needed something to break it up a bit. I pulled out my Nesting Hexagons from Waffle Flower and cut a brown layer and a Kraft layer. I added it to the side, and cut off the excess. I added my sentiment with Pinecone VersaFine Clair Ink. Then, it was all mounted on to a brown card base.
This simple, straightforward design can be utilized for any type of card, just by changing out the focal image and stenciled background. You could even use patterned paper! You can put this card together really quickly, because you only really need to color one or two images. If you haven’t checked out the Kawaii Cuties yet, please do. They are absolutely adorable, and the sets coordinate so well with each other. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
