Hello! I am so thrilled to announce that I am now on the A Colorful Life Designs DT! A Colorful Life Designs has some of the coolest stencils I out there, and I am stoked to show them off to you. Today I am using the Elegant Snowflake stencil, which I treated more as a mandala for this card.

As soon as I saw the Elegant Snowflake stencil, I knew I needed to foil it. Using black cardstock, I applied Therm O Web’s Transfer Gel Duo, washed my stencil immediately, and then let the paste dry. I decided to use the Prince Periwinkle Deco Foil because I love that it’s a light purple that also flashes a full spectrum of color.
You can see in my photos how varied the colors are depending on the angle and lighting. I edged the panel with Amethyst Glitter Glaze from Brutus Monroe. My card base has been edged with Lilac Halo Embossing Powder from Stampendous. I used a sentiment from Lawn Fawn’s Fairy Friends that I heat embossed with white and mounted on to a purple metallic cardstock. The result is lots of shine and texture, all with a lavender hue.
I love moving this card in the light! The Elegant Snowflake stencil has such large open areas that it really allows the holographic foil to work it’s magic. And although it’s technically a snowflake, you can use this card for many occasions, depending on the colors you use and your sentiment.
