Hello! I’ve got a mixed media card to share today, using many products from White Rose Crafts. The shop is officially open for business again, with new items starting to come in. So be sure to pop over to check out the latest arrivals.
My project features one of the large stamps from AALL & Create’s “Sewing Forever” stamp set. I pulled out an old Gel Press print that I believe I made during a FB Live (I make so many of them at once I sometimes forget!), using acrylic paint and some alcohol inks. Because of the various layers on the print, I decided my best bet was to stamp the image with StazOn ink.
I wanted the woman to stand out and be the focus of the card, so I stamped her on a subtle roll-off print. I have used this particular print quite a bit on my projects, and I will be sad when it’s all used up. It has soft pinks and sage greens on it, and it works for a lot of things. I stamped the woman out with StazOn again, and added some soft coloring to highlight her dress, her hair, and her skin. Then I fussy cut her out and added her to the background. You can see the shiny silver alcohol ink on my background in the photo above.
I needed a little something extra on my card base, so I opted to ink the “Ring the Changes” stencil, which is also from AALL & Create, with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink. I wanted something a little pinker, but this color worked fine.
When you have some great gel prints to work with, creating a card can be quick and easy. I really didn’t have to do much to make this piece, and since there’s a lot of interesting details not only in the print, but also on the stamped image, everything came together quickly. Plus, I got to use up some scraps! Please visit the White Rose Crafts shop soon, and use my code, “Alison 15” to save 15% off of your purchase. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
