Hello! Yesterday I did a FB Live for White Rose Crafts and we took a couple of the Gel Press prints I had made on a previous Live and turned them into cards. You can check out yesterday’s Live HERE.
The first card used a print that was made with the circle Gel Press Petite with Distress Oxides. I used this cool Dragon Scales stencil on it. Based on the colors of the print, I chose Copic markers to color in my fairy, which is from AAll & Create’s Lil Magic stamp set.
Behind the fairy, I stamped the AALL & Create Reverse Stars with Peacock Feathers and Broken China Distress Oxides. I aged the background a bit too, but I encourage you to check out the FB Live to see how.
I love how this card ended up. The Gel Press Print was a fantastic jumping off point, and guided the way through the completion of the card. We were having such a good time that we decided to make a second card…
The print for this card was made on my 6×6 Gel Press, with acrylic paints. I wasn’t in love with the print, and I knew I needed to add things on top of it. The group and I decided that using this whale from AALL & Create’s Sea Life stamp set was the way to go.
I cut down my print and stamped the whale image on to it with VersaFine Clair Ink in Twilight and embossed it with a clear powder. Then, we chose an additional print to stamp the whale on again with the same ink so that I can add pop it on to the first. I used some colored pencils to add some detail and popped it on to the original. Then, I added some Sea Breeze Nuvo Jewel Drops to all of the hexagons in the background.
I really love both of these cards. I especially like that we used two Gel Press prints that I didn’t love, and turned them into two very unique cards. Please head over to White Rose Crafts to check out the thousands of items they have. Be sure to use my code, “Alison15” to save 15% off of your purchase.
