For my card, I decided to go with one of many House Mouse images that would have worked for this hop. Stampendous has a huge range of House Mouse stamps for every occasion, and these little mice seem to really like caffeine!
I used the Coffee Break stamp and colored it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and Gansai Tambi watercolors. I gave it a loose fussy cut when it was dry.
Then I scoured my paper scraps for something that would work and I came across a really old scrap from Basic Grey (oh, how I miss them!). It was just what I needed. Directly on my ivory card base, I spritzed Speckled Egg Distress Spray Stain through an old herringbone metal stencil from Stampendous. I love that it’s imperfect because it works really well with the strip of Basic Grey paper.
House Mouse stamps always make me smile. I love their antics. I’m really happy I got to use some of my Basic Grey too.
