Hello! Today I’ve got a card that features the Spring in Your Step stamp set from Sassy & Crafty. With it, I paired one of the emboss resist backgrounds I made during a FB Live. If you missed it and would like to check it out, you can view it HERE.
I love Converse sneakers, and the stamps from this set look very much like them. So, I decided to color this pair to look like one of mine. They’re a stonewashed denim blue, and they’re the super high tops. I love them. They also have cream rubber soles and laces instead of the typical white. I think they’re fun. For the roses, I went with a bit of an unusual color combo that resembled a rose bush that I had when I was younger. It was called Kaleidoscope, and it had shades of orange, pink, peach, and a touch of lavender in the flowers. That’s what I was going for here. I used Copic markers to color them.
The background, which again you can see me make it on the FB Live, was done with the Denim Kaleidacolor inks with a sparkle embossing powder on the Flowing Swirl stencil. I stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Clair ink in Twilight on ivory cardstock, and I mounted everything on to a matching ivory card base.
I love the various shades of blue on this card, the bit of sparkle, and the pop of the roses. Please be sure to visit Sassy & Crafty to see all of the fun stamps and stencils that are available. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
