Hello! I am pretty excited today….I have a YouTube video up! I have had a YouTube channel for quite a while, but truthfully, even though I do lots of Facebook Lives, the idea of editing a video was really daunting and caused me to have some serious anxiety. But I have some amazing and very encouraging crafty friends, that have been helping me to deal, not only with the anxiety, but the techie editing stuff too. In addition, some time ago, my friend Michele and I were doing a FB Room (and there were other people that can vouch for this conversation), where I challenged her to make a shaker card, and she challenged me to make a YouTube video. This was the real push that I needed. So, she has made her first shaker, and I have made my first (edited) YouTube video. Here’s the card that you can watch me create.
I think that all in all, for my first real go-around with editing, things turned out pretty well. I’ll have to tackle doing a voiceover at some point, but not just yet. I’ve got some other videos on my channel that you can check out, but they are absolutely basic. The techniques are good, but the filming is sub-par. But it’s ok, because I think it’s important to be able to remember where you’ve come from to see how much you’ve grown.
I’d like to thank my friends that have pushed me to do this. Terra, Michele, Amber, Marie, Candice, and Nancy. There are others too, but these ladies have really encouraged me. And guess what? I’ll have another video posted tomorrow if all goes according to plan! Fingers crossed!
Ok drumroll……here’s the video!
Below I’ve got the full list of supplies, plus links with where to buy them. Some of these links are affiliate links, which means I get a small commission if you purchase something through the link, but it’s at no additional cost to you. You can learn more about affiliate links on my “Affiliates” page. If you liked my video, I’d really appreciate a “‘thumbs up” and perhaps even a subscribe. I’m hoping to bring you a lit of fun content as I get better at this editing thing and I push through my anxiety. Thank you so much for visiting today. Have an inspiring day!
