Hello! Today I chose to share a card that uses one of several new collage-style stamps from Stampendous. This one is called Butterfly Postage, and it is really pretty. If you have trouble with a creating a stamped collage on your own, this is a great way to get that look without all of the masking and layering.

I stamped and colored the image on Stampendous’ Mixed Media White Paper, which is my personal favorite paper for coloring with Copics. I used Copic colors that were soft and pastel, with only tiny punches of vibrancy. I even chose to color the background with Copics, which is something I don’t normally do.
For my card base, I wanted to continue with the soft, blended look so I chose several Distress Oxide colors to do this. I used Wilted Violet, Old Paper, Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar, Tattered Rose, Fossilized Amber, and Cracked Pistachio. I spritzed some water droplets on to the card to help the colors oxidize a bit.
I love the washes of colors this card has. They blend together so well and almost seem to move and shift. And let’s not forget about all of those pretty butterflies! Please be sure to head over to the Stampendous Blog to see what the rest of the team has created with the new collage stamps. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
