Happy Halloween! It’s my favorite day of the year, and while things are definitely going to be different this year, it’s a Saturday, the sun is out, and we’re going to make the best of it. I hope that you’ve been following along all month with the ‘Till Death Do Us Craft Halloween Series. 7 talented Halloween fanatics have been posting all month long, each on our own day of the week (I had Tuesdays) and we had an additional crafter with us on October 1st, and today, on Halloween. I will have all of their links below. We are posting on various platforms…blogs, YouTube, Instagram….so the easiest thing to do besides using the links at the bottom of this post is to search the hashtag, #TillDeathDoUsCraft .
Admittedly, I had much bigger plans for what I was going to share today. But, I just couldn’t get it done. If you saw the shoes I painted for my husband, that’s part of the reason why I ran out of time. But, for our Anniversary on Thursday, my husband gave me 2 Hero Arts Kits that I really wanted, including the September 2019 Kit. It has a Halloween theme but in a less Hollywood, more traditional sense of Halloween, which I absolutely adore. Halloween is when the veil between this world and the spirit world is the thinnest, so it is the best time to “connect” with our loved ones that have passed. Using small mementos of theirs, including things like candles, crystals, and other magical objects can assist with this process, and that’s what this kit reminds me of. Having a cabinet filled with these tiny artifacts and tools that help with magical workings.
Here you can see some of the things I “hid” behind the tiny doors. I made this card for Gene for Halloween (because let’s face it….I didn’t have time to make him an Anniversary card once I finished the shoes), and he loves it. I think he will probably be playing with this set in the future. It’s easy to put together, and you don’t need to fill every space. I did, and I love how it turned out.
This may not be a very “Halloween” card to some, but for my family and I, it is perfectly Halloween. I hope that you have enjoyed the ‘Till Death Do Us Craft Halloween Series. I know I did! It’s always so fun to see what people create for this fantastic holiday. Please be sure to visit all of the links below. Thank you so much for hanging out with all of us this month. I hope you have a truly spooktacular Halloween!
