Greetings! Today I am sharing the card I made for my mom for Mother’s Day. My mom LOVES Star Trek. Every. Single. One. In fact, she and my kids watch an episode together once a week (when there’s no pandemic). I used to watch it with her all the time too. So, the Space Explorers Stamp set from Kindred Stamps is absolutely perfect for any card I make for my mom.
I started off by creating my background, which is something I never do! I stamped and heat embossed the symbol, and the “Tribbles.” I broke out my colored pencils to color those fuzzy guys in.
Next, I colored in one of her favorite characters (and mine!) with my Zig Clean Color Markers. I think he looks great! Then, I fussy cut him.
There are some great sentiments in this set, and I stamped one on silver vellum and heat embossed it. Then I die cut it with a Fitted Frame from Stampendous. My card base is white, but I inked the edges black. It saves on black cardstock, and still gives you a nice, solid effect (if you go heavy with you ink).
Needless to say, my mom loved her card. And there are lots of stamps in the set that I haven’t used for her yet! I’ll need to share the cards that Phoenix and Rhiannon made for her as well. They’re amazingly thought out and took them hours. If you like this fandom stamps, check out Kindred Stamps to see what other fun stamps and stencils they have. I just foiled with one of their stencils and it looks so cool! I can’t wait to share it with you! Thanks so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
